Julie Slater…you are amazing. Tonight’s Out On A Limb is UberMindblowing awesome. You’ve introduced me to a ton of mind bending, memorable, moving, iconic, gorgeous, exciting sounds that I wound have never heard. And you’ve re-ignited amazing sounds from years past – and I had forgotten just how much I loved what. Back in the day while in college in the great music town – Boston Mass – music and listening to the radio became this edge of your seat, super exciting, adrenaline circulating, aural wonder. George Harrison now – wow! Thank you for weaving the tracks into a cohesive compelling context with such interesting insider anecdotes!
You really have made a small corner of radio pretty damn amazing. Thank You!

Hey Julie,
You are my new favorite DJ! I really dig your musical taste. You played some really cool stuff that I had never heard before. You also introduced me to this new band called The Alternates who are from right here in LA! I can’t believe I never heard about them before. I heard this really long epic song you played on the show last night and then I saw their picture on your page and I was able to find their Facebook page. Keep playing them because they’re awesome! I also loved the animal themed portion of the show. Keep doin what ur doin and I will keep listening. Until next Saturday………..Peace out!

Julie, I listen to you a lot on The Sound and was so happy to hear a familiar voice when I heard you on KCSN. I’m 14 and a rock musician, so I appreciate a lot of the stuff you play. I hope someday you consider playing my song on the radio. 😉 Thanks for playing real music!
